This puts me at great peace because I, along with my husband Chuck and my daughter Tanya were in a tragic auto crash, February of 2023. Tanya was killed instantly. I was in the front passenger side and Chuck was driving. I broke my neck and 50 plus other bones that kept me in the hospital 5 months plus a couple in a TCU. It was so crazy being so broken up in the front seat that I could not attend Tanya or my husband. One thing I pristinely remember before I passed out and as my neck was broken and twisted facing him, he said: “we survived for a higher purpose “ and I responded in a very weak whisper: “yes”.
From a different thought from this post: it is a bookend thought of the beginning of Tanya’s life and then the end, I was there for both and both were traumatic for us together. Not many can say that they were present for the birth of their child and their death. I am just so grateful that the end lead her to be with Jesus, the MOST HIGH!
I’m still unsure what I think about near death experiences, if I’m honest. The Bible says no one sees the father and lives, right? Also if you aren’t a believer, can you have a glimpse of heaven? I thought only believers make it to heaven?
Not trying to combat or diminish anything in this, just sharing burning questions I have had for a long time. ☺️👍
Hello, in love, I just wanted to shed some light on some verses, because one detail is easily overlooked. Heaven is a spiritual realm and not a physical one. Randy was in spiritual form. “No man” and “no one”, refers to humanity in physical form:
Exodus 33:20 - “But He said, 'You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.'"
John 1:18 - “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him."
Jesus actually tells us what the Father looks like. He tells us that He is the image of God. If we want to know who God looks like, we can look at Jesus. He is the physical image of our spiritual God:
Colossians 1:15 - “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation."
John 14:9 - "He who has seen Me has seen the Father."
Some think it is impossible to die for an extended time and be brought back to life. Both Jesus and the Apostles raised people from the dead as easily as the healed them. Jesus raised Lazarus after three days and He raised Himself after three days.
When I was 20 years old ( today I am 63 years old), I prayed Psalm 23 and called out to Jesus because there was an invisible evil presence in my room and I was frightened more than I had ever been before. Jesus brought me into His presence in my spiritual form. I say spiritual, even though it felt physical, because when I opened my eyes, I could only see a very bright white light. Brighter than what my physical eyes could look upon. Just like we can’t look at the sun. He was embracing me. I never saw His face but I knew that it was Him. It was “known” to me. He spoke to me in my head not by physical voice. He told me to not be afraid. I felt His love. It is all-consuming. It does not exist here on earth. His love cannot be explained because it is so complete and we have no reference or definition that will make others understand.
I stand by Randy’s true testimony because I hear the truth in his words. I hope this will help bring truth, love, and clarity to all who read them. Jesus loves you more than you can imagine. May His peace and love be always with you.
Thanks, Abby, for the verses. I have heard these before, and I appreciate you mentioning that no one can see God in human form. That is a very important distinction. I have had several spiritual encounters, both with evil spirits and godly spirits. I have also experienced some miracles in my life.
I have seen demons and also have had sleep paralysis. I have spoken the name of Jesus in those moments and felt them immediately leave.
I should have died in a car accident when I was in my twenties, but I was spared, even though I was in the front seat and we went 80 MPH, hitting three oak trees. I have also been supernaturally healed from something doctors say can't be healed.
There is so much I don't know about NDE, deliverance ministry, and other supernatural encounters, but I am open to hearing and learning more about them.
I grew up with a very legalistic, cessationist view of all these things; therefore, I have been closed-minded in the past. I am no longer that way; now I allow the Holy Spirit to help me discern truth because I know he won’t lead me astray.
I like to hear stories of people being delivered, healed, or seeing the face of God; They can be filled with deep emotion, feeling, and hope. However, the skeptic/intellectual inside me still wants to ask more questions, so I know I am believing the truth.
Thanks for being kind with your response.
Many times, when people question NDE or supernatural things, we are met with rudeness.
I don’t speak for others, but for myself, I simply want to make sure I am following the true Jesus and all his teachings.
Thank you so much for sharing your amazing experiences with me! I feel joy in my heart. Lead on Holy Spirit! He never leads us astray. Much love to you and God Bless you, abundantly.
I’ve been casually studying NDEs. Whatever one thinks about them, there are some verifiable incidents that are hard discount.
If anything, they lend support to that fact something beyond nature exists after we die.
I love the point about seeing children who didn’t make it in the womb. Our first child is waiting for us in heaven, and it’s a really joyful thought.
