I’m glad someone came and saved you from the accident…! And thank you for being vulnerable and humble. And you were right. Many people in your position could have and would have stayed angry and bitter, not just at the friend who left, but at God too.
And because you were able to surrender, God used what seemed like a betrayal to be one of the turning points in your life to live for Him and shared the good news of His love!
Cathy....you explained it perfectly! Yes he apologized. It was only possible through God that I was able to move on. It really did take supernatural intervention.
Amen! I agree. Only by His grace that we're able to forgive like Jesus did. Or else we would just be like everyone else! Feeling righteous for being angry bitter and maybe even vengeful. Kinda scary huh. But Gospel truly flipped our foundation upside down. And that's why many things people of faith can do, don't make sense in the eyes of nonbelievers (even to many Christians who don't fully surrender!). Anyways thanks again for sharing your personal story :)
Yes I 100% agree. Makes me think of what Christ said on the cross, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." As Christians we must forgive like Christ did and surrender anything to him that is out of our control. Thats what I had to do. I couldnt do it. I had to give it to God.
Did your friend ever apologize?
